The interpretation of environmental analytical data - especially isotope analysis data - requires not only analytical results but also:

  • sample localities (location, geography, geology, hydrology, use of area, etc.)
  • sample conditions (field measurements, progression of pumping tests, sampling depth, etc.)
  • specifications of analyses (methods, accuracy of measurement, etc.)
  • historical analytical data

The typical interpretation report is designed according to the following outline:

  1. Overview of objectives
  2. Description of geography and geology, etc.
  3. Sample description, sampling, and field measurements
  4. Basics of detection methods
  5. Interpretation and discussion of analytical results including visualisation in
          diagrams and graphics
  6. Evaluation with respect to usage / application (e.g. radiological evaluation,
balneological characteristics, filter techniques, remedial actions)
  7. Summary and recommendation.

The profoundness and comprehension of the interpretation complies to the information provided or researched, the requests of the client, and the aim of the investigation.
